GrosvenorCasinos.com have once again made Marie Curie Cancer Care our charity of the year in 2012.

In 2010 our team members and customers helped raise £288,000, which paid for 14,400 hours of nursing care. And we couldn’t have done it without your generosity, so thank you!

But it didn’t stop there. Throughout 2011, Grosvenor Casinos employees trekked Kilimanjaro, jumped out of planes, and even ran the New York Marathon to help Marie Curie Nurses care for 31,000 terminally ill patients a year.

How Marie Curie Supports Terminally Ill Patients And Their Families

Marie Curie believes everyone should have the choice about how and where they spend their final days. Each year, the charity provides care for 31,000 terminally ill patients, at no cost to them or their families.

• 2,000 Marie Curie Nurses work day and night to care for patients in their own homes.
• Nine Marie Curie hospices offer free specialist care and support for families.
• The charity conducts palliative care research to find better ways of caring for terminally ill people and also funds scientists who investigate the causes and treatments of cancer.
