Cardiff Casino Hosts James Bond Night
On Friday 30 October 2009, the Grosvenor Casino in Cardiff is hosting a suave and sophisticated James Bond themed evening event. Helping to raise money for the Special Friends charity, guests will be able to walk the red carpet and shine under the spotlights in true Casino Royale fashion.
From 7.30pm, guests can get a glimpse of an Aston Martin showcased outside, and enter the venue like a true celebrity. The VIP treatment doesn’t stop there with complimentary Martini’s upon arrival, and an exciting live performance from brilliant local band, Madassa.
Proceeds from the night will go to help support the local Special Friends charity, which organises for dreams to come true for terminally ill children across Wales.
Tickets can be bought in advance and are £35, of which £25 will be donated to Special Friends. The cost includes entrance to the Casino on the night, and the opportunity to play an exciting range of games, such as Poker.
Irene Hull, Sales and Events Manager at the Grosvenor Casino Cardiff, said: "We really are pulling out all the stops to make this a night to remember. We hope as many people as possible come to be treated like a celebrity and play the tables like Bond. With funds being donated to Special Friends, it’s such a worthwhile night."
Claire Hewitt, Executive Manager at Special Friends, said: "We are very thankful for the continued support from the Grosvenor Casino in Cardiff. Events such as this help us to arrange dreams to come true for ill children, so it is great that others can get involved and be James Bond for the night."
