Newcastle Casino hosts modelling contest for charity

On Thursday 19th November, the Grosvenor Casino Newcastle is collaborating with House of Fraser and Newcastle United Football Club players to put budding local models to the test. Contestants will compete in a series of games to win a professional photo shoot and modelling contract with Tyne Tees Models.

The male and female models will be judged by a rigorous panel including Newcastle United footballer Danny Simpson and England's under 21's player Steven Taylor. The models will be put to the test on the catwalk in front of a live audience, and then the games really begin with 'spin the wheel' and 'play the right card' to mix things up on the night.

Tickets can be bought from the casino for £10, which secures a place in the audience. You can also judge the budding models on the catwalk, giving you the chance to vote for your winner.

Proceeds from all ticket sales will be donated to local charity Daisy's Dream. The charity does a great deal of work with children and families facing, and dealing with autism.

Cheryl Flowers, Business Development Manager of the Grosvenor Casino Newcastle said: "We wanted to organise a high profile event in aid of Daisy’s Dream to aim to raise as much as possible. The fashion show promises to be great fun for all involved, and the chance to win a modelling contract should certainly raise the stakes on the night!"

Nathan Money at Daisy’s Dream said: "Support from companies such as the Grosvenor Casino Newcastle is tremendously important in enabling us to continue the work we do with children. We really appreciate all the support they continue to give. "

For more information about the event, to book your tickets, and to enter the competition, please contact Cheryl Flowers at the Grosvenor Casino Newcastle on 0191 2211660 / 100 St James Boulevard, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4BN.
