A mystery winner has taken away a hefty £23,505.28 during a visit to the Grosvenor Casino in Swansea, after placing just a single £1 bet on the casino’s national Super Stud Poker game. The lucky winner won 10% of the national jackpot.

The 24 year old man from Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire who does not wish to be named often visits the Swansea casino and was with friends when he had his huge win.

He comments: "I come to the casino quite regularly with my friends as I like the atmosphere and the buzz of playing the games. My favourite game was Roulette, but now it’s definitely Super Stud Poker; I never thought I’d actually win something this big!"

Super Stud Poker is played alongside the traditional Casino Stud Poker. Already well over £10 million has been paid out in progressive prize money by Grosvenor Casinos since the game began in 2003. Customers can win a 10% jackpot with a ‘Straight Flush’ (five consecutive cards of the same suit) and 100% jackpot with a ‘Royal Flush’ (10, J, K, Q & A of the same suit).

The lucky winner continued: "I’m ecstatic that this has happened to me! It means I can do some of the things I’ve only dreamed of, like taking an extralong holiday somewhere really exotic!."
