The Getaway gelding was last seen running out at Cork in early August, but now owned by the shrewd Paul Byrne and trained by Jumps maestro Willie Mullins, much better things are almost as assured as birds fly in the sky!

 

Others to consider might be the Alex Ferguson co-owned L'Eau Du Sud (apparently a Parisian fragrance), who has solid French form including a Listed Hurdle win and would appear to have been laid out for this by trainer Dan Skelton. And Lookaway who mopped up a couple of early summer hurdle races at Uttoxeter before making all to win a Grade 2 Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham last month. The handicapper’s assessment of a 10Ibs rise may yet prove a tad lenient post-race!
