Types of Bets

At Grosvenor Sport, you’ll find Scottish Premiership odds across the following types of bets:

Outright Bets

The simplest outright bet you can make is on the team to take the title at the end of the season. Celtic and Rangers have shared top spot in the Scottish topflight every season since Aberdeen won back to back titles in the mid-80s, so an outright bet on the winner of the Scottish Premiership is usually focused on either of the Old Firm giants.

You can also make an outright bet on the team to finish bottom and get relegated down to the second tier of Scottish football.

Match Betting

Scottish football match betting involves betting on various outcomes on a specific match. You could pick the Old Firm derby between Rangers and Celtic, the Edinburgh derby between Hearts and Hibs, or any encounter in the Scottish topflight.

Match bets include the likes of:

-          Outcome – which team will win

-          Correct score

-          Full-time score

-          Half-time score

-          Both teams to score (BTTS)

-          Goals over/under

-          First goalscorer

Prop Bets

A prop bet is an American term for a type of bet that doesn’t affect the outcome of a match. This could be a bet on the first player to score in the match between Ross County and Livingston. Or on a certain player to score in a match – say Kyogo Furuhashi to score at some point for Celtic in the Old Firm encounter against Rangers.

You can also make long-term prop bets on the top goalscorer at the end of the season or the player of the season.

Popular Scottish Football Bets

Some of the most popular Scottish Premiership bets with our punters include:

League Winner

Could Rangers break Celtic’s dominance and claim the title again? Or will the Bhoys have too much for their old enemy? Or perhaps another side like Aberdeen or Motherwell could finally break the Old Firm dominance?

You can have your say with an outright bet on the league winner. Just check out our outright Scottish Premiership odds and make your bet.

Top Goalscorer

In recent seasons, we’ve seen Kyogo Furuhashi, Odsonne Eduard, Alfredo Morelos and Kris Boyd top the goalscoring charts at the end of the season.

A popular bet with our customers, you’ll see odds on the main strikers at the start of the campaign and throughout the season. As they start consistently hitting the back of the net, the odds will change in line with the form of the players. It’s up to you when you make your bet.

The team that finishes bottom of the pile in 12th place is automatically relegated down to the Scottish Championship. And the side that finishes 11th will have to face the Championship Play-Off winners over two legs for their survival. If they lose, they go down too.

Betting on Scottish Premiership relegation is always a popular and exciting bet with our punters.
